Bloom From Your Roots

Explore the sense of belonging to support personal growth! Together with Joanna Wróblewska from Yohaku Art Collective, we would like to offer you a chance to discover and explore your roots in a relaxing evening workshop. 

Like a tree that needs its roots in order to grow strong, we humans also look for a sense of belonging to stay safe and healthy. With the rapid advancement of technology and globalization, nowadays we are able to travel to and live in many places, and yet our identity is constantly shaped by different languages and cultural environments. During this process, what keeps you steady and strong? What makes you feel connected? What nourishes your body and mind? What motivates you to learn and grow? 

WHAT TO EXPECT? 

In this two and half hours workshop, we will explore these topics through bodily sensations and movements, colours, shapes as well as aesthetic experience of plants and flowers. 

By stepping into your imagination with curiosity, you will connect with the roots that keep you secure and grounded. With a little bit of courage and exploration, you will have a chance to find resources that can help you bloom and grow. 

If this is something that speaks to you, please come join us this fall! No prior artistic experience is required. This workshop only asks for openness, a bit of courage, and a willingness to have fun and connect with others in a safe and non-judgemental space.

Duration: 2,5 hours (short break included)

Admission: 19 EUR per person or 34 EUR for two people signing up together

All materials (including flowers) are INCLUDED in the price, however, you are welcome to bring your own favourite plants and flowers. Also, please bring a small to middle-sized bowl you especially like. 

Since some of the activities involve body movements, please wear something comfortable and easy for you to move. You can also bring a pair of socks to keep yourself warm.

About the Facilitators 

Bella (Poiesis Insight) 

Bella is originally from Peking China, already at an early age, she’s interested in exploring the mystery of the human mind and behaviours. After completing her MA degree in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, her passion for art and organizational development has led her to further expand her expertise in Business Psychology and Expressive Arts Coaching & Consulting. 

Joanna (Yohaku Art Collective) 

A visual artist and an art educator with a Ph.D. degree in visual arts. Joanna has worked as an art teacher and facilitator in several countries. Currently, she lives in the Berlin area and studies Expressive Arts Therapy in Germany and Switzerland. Joanna believes that art is indigenous to humans and can inspire, connect, and transforms us on multiple levels.
